Day 12. Thursday, August 10, 2017

I was really lazy this morning and slept in.  Normally we can hear boats going out fishing and trailers coming and going, and kids playing but it was really quiet today.  It was chilly and the propane tank ran out during the night while trying to heat the water, so I had to put on a sweatshirt!  Someone had turned off the power to the trailer so the refrigerator/freezer had automatically switched over to gas.  It has been a while since Jackie has been to the trailer so hard to tell how long it was off.  Anyway, there was enough to heat the water when I got there, but during I could hear the water heater trying to light.  Anyway, another gorgeous day! This tree has been well documented!!! :-)

In the afternoon I drove out on a backroad out of Chester to a camp where we used to take our tent trailer to dry camp.  It's so pretty and remote out there.

Back to town to do my laundry.  11 days of not washing clothes, I was out of clean clothes.  No choice but to visit the laundromat.  Haven't done that in years.  They also had a pay shower there and a dog washing place in back!! Here are a couple of pictures of buildings in Chester. - Peterson Glass and The Pine Shack Frosty.  (There is a note in the window that says it's for sale :-(

Another dinner - this time outside on the veranda looking at the lake! I've hit the big time :-)

And once again another gorgeous sunset

That's all folks for tonight!!  Goodnight.  Hugs.

  1. i will once again try to enter a comment--did earlier but it didn't show up--enjoying the beautiful pictures and scenery and narratives! The Pine Shack has been for sale for years! I'm glad you were at the trailer to find the Electricity unplugged--and further more to switch over the propane as it would not have been a pretty sight to see the freezer stuff defrosted! Enjoy your time there!
